Build your career and life skills along with like-minded peers and mentors, in The Mentoring Club’s Collective Mentoring Workshop Program.
The program is a 5-month, 10-session program of group mentoring in these four areas:
- Career Catalysts (career planning and development, job search and interviewing)
- Express Excellence (oral, written, and visual communication skills)
- Leadership Liftoff (leadership, emotional intelligence, strategic thinking, and negotiation skills)
- Network Navigators (networking, relationship building skills)
You’ll be assigned a home group based on your needs, through a registration/survey form you will receive after you register.
You’ll rotate through the other groups and circle back to your home group. The structure will allow you to go deeply into a set of skills you would like to focus on and broadly in understanding the other skill areas.
Depending on the total number of participants, if it makes sense to form one group or two groups only, we will update the design and schedule of the sessions. We will have the same mentor facilitators, the same content, and the same number of sessions (10 sessions in 5 months at 1 hour every two weeks). All participants will meet all the mentor facilitators and gain from their knowledge and experiences in the four focus areas.
Your Mentor Facilitator/s are subject-matter experts who will present skills, use guest speakers as necessary, and guide your group in peer-to-peer discussions.
Depending on the time zones of the participants which we will know by February 28, we will provide the most feasible 1-hour time slot to all participants for every two weeks starting on the week of March 3. In the past, we had PST, GST, CET, EAT, AEDT, PHST and we had a concurrence to hold the sessions at 8am PDT and at 6am PST. There will be some coordination required and there may be some rotation of timing which reflect our real-life global workspace. We are leaders. We adjust and adapt.
Event Recording, Fees & Donations
This is an online event that will be recorded for educational and marketing purposes. By participating in the online event, you agree to be recorded, such as but not limited to, when you are asking questions or stating comments.
T he Mentoring Club is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Fees cover operational expenses. We welcome donations to further expand our mentoring outreach globally.
If you would like to apply for a grant to participate in the program, please email liesel@thementoringclub.org with the subject “Grant request for the Collective Mentoring Workshop Program” and state (1) why you would like to participate in the program and (2) why you need a grant. We have a maximum of 4 slots available for grants for this cohort.
