About this event
Everyone uses this existential career tool, dawn to dusk, in friendly settings as in enemy territories. Are you untrained in its use, well-trained, or do you merely believe you know how to use it?
Communication is the swiss army knife of every leader’s career. Know the communication techniques to dissolve barriers, open doors, and carve a path.
The Mentoring Club mentor Hong Nguyen-Phuong has selected three clusters of techniques for you to practice in this month’s Mentoring Matters Talk. They revolve around: (1) listening to engage, (2) interact to connect, and (3) shape stories for impact.
Meet Our Featured Mentor: Hong Nguyen-Phuong
A mentor at The Mentoring Club from its early days, Hong Nguyen-Phuong empowers professionals and teams to thrive in the global workplace.
He teaches software project management and agility at University of Santa Cruz (UCSC) Silicon Valley Extension. In 2020, he co-authored with fellow Silicon Valley Alliances (SVA) consultants “Turning Ideas Into Impact” which became an instant international best seller on Amazon.
Hong studied engineering, computer science, and general management at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Boston University, and Harvard Business School.

Regarding Coronavirus COVID-19
We encourage everyone to exercise the following personal protective protocol to ensure that we limit our exposure and risk to the virus: practice social distancing, eat healthy foods and supplements, get restorative sleep, and find creative ways to exercise indoors and follow your specific location’s official directives for exercising outdoors. We hope everyone stays safe and informed about the availability of vaccines in your area.
